Hello Huskie Fans,

This month, and specifically this week as we kick off Huskies Invest: A Week of Giving, I hope you will take a few moments to view an important video edition of Frazier's Corner (click image above) which specifically addresses many of the key financial issues – and yes, challenges - currently facing NIU Athletics. 

In the video, I break down the landscape of college athletics, challenges and obstacles to NIU Athletics' future success, what it takes, financially, to support an NIU student-athlete, and finally, the different ways to support the department. 

Watch to hear my thoughts on a wide range of issues, including the widening revenue gap between teams in the "Power 5" and "Group of 5" conferences, the effects permissive NCAA legislation has had on widening the gap and shrinking state appropriations for higher education. 

As you will hear, these factors have magnified the need for NIU Athletics to find additional revenue streams to help sustain the athletic and academic successes of our student-athletes, making the role you, as NIU fans and supporters, play in moving the Huskie Athletics program forward even more important than ever.
