Quinn Rear enters her fourth season as director of women’s basketball at Northern Illinois University. She came to NIU after spending two years as a graduate assistant at Truman State.
During her two seasons with the Bulldogs, Truman State amassed a 35-23 record, advancing to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Basketball Tournament.
A native of Belleville, Wis., Rear graduated from Ashford University with where she was a four-year letterwinner for the Saints. She is in the top-10 in over fifteen statistical categories including No. 1 in three pointers made (246) and fourth all-time in scoring with 1,166 points. In her last two years as a player, Ashford won back-to-back AII Conference twice, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament twice.
Rear has gained valuable coaching experience in her young career working with the AAU program, Wisconsin Swing, as well as various camps during her career.
She graduated from Ashford University in 2015, earning bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Sports and Recreation. Rear earned her master’s in management and leadership from Western Governors University.
