Clery Act Statement
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or Clery Act, Northern Illinois University is required to provide all prospective employees and students access to the annual report summarizing reported crimes occurring on campus; in certain university controlled off-campus buildings or property; on public property within or immediately adjacent to the university's main campus located in DeKalb and its satellite campuses located in Naperville, Rockford, and the Lorado Taft campus in Oregon, Illinois.
NIU provides information regarding campus security, personal and fire safety, including topics such as: crime prevention, emergency response procedures, and crime reporting policies, in addition to, crime and fire statistics for the most recent three calendar years. The Annual Security Report containing security and safety information is available at www.safety.niu.edu or by contacting the Ethics and Compliance Office at 815-753-1649. The Annual Fire Safety Report is available at www.firesafety.niu.edu or by contacting the Environmental Health & Safety Department at 815-753-0404.
