Fall World Series Game One: Black 1, Red 0

DeKALB, Ill. - Brian Smith shutout the Red team while yielding just two hits and Jeff Thomas drove in Jesse Seykora with a RBI single in the fourth inning as the Black squad posted a 1-0 victory in game one of the Fall World Series.

Freshman Dave Reynolds led the Black with two hits in three at-bats while Thomas, Sam Kapacinskas, and Joe Buonavalonto each added one hit in the game.

The Red offense consisted of a first-inning triple by Scott Simon and a second-inning single by freshman Jordin Hood.
