Mount Pleasant, Mich. - The Northern Illinois women's soccer team fell to Central Michigan, 2-0, on Friday afternoon in a Mid-American Conference match as the Chippewas (8-2, 3-0) tallied two goals on eight shots, while the Huskies (5-3-3, 1-2) were held to just two shots on goal.

"Obviously, Central Michigan had a good game today and we have to give credit to them," said Huskie head coach Carrie Barker. "They played well and we played well until we got scored on, but didn't handle it well and started panicking. We just need to get better at handling a goal scored against us because we were playing well before that."

The teams were scoreless at the half, but that quickly changed as CMU's Valerie Prause found the back of the net at the 51:43 mark as a result of a set up cross by Amanda Waugh.

CMU would then add their second goal at the 81:53 mark as this time Waugh was on the receiving end of an assist from an Erica Rohren corner kick.

The Huskies head to Ypsilanti, Mich. on Sunday to face Eastern Michigan (7-3-2, 2-1) at 1 p.m. CST.
