TOLEDO, Ohio - The Northern Illinois women's tennis team dropped its second Mid-American Conference match of the season, falling 7-0 at Toledo on Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies fell behind early as Toledo took all three doubles matches. Emily Rogers and Haley Dekkinga won three games at number one doubles while Sara McLaughlin and Ilse Pacheco also won three games in doubles at flight three, but NIU was unable to come up with a doubles victory.

In singles play, both McLaughlin and Dekkinga played close second set tiebreakers for NIU at number four and five singles, respectively. McLaughlin was bettered by Kelsey Anonsen, 6-2, in the first set of their match before rallying in the second set, playing even with Anonsen until the tiebreaker, which Anonsen took 7-2. Dekkinga, NIU's leader in singles victories this season, fell with an identical score of 6-2, 7-6 (2) to Amanda Border at fifth singles.

Toledo also won the other four singles matches as the Huskies were able to take just nine games in those matches.

NIU will return home next weekend for a pair of matches. The Huskies will host Miami (Ohio) on Friday, April 8 and Ball State on Saturday, April 9. Both matches are scheduled for 1 p.m., in DeKalb, Ill., at the NIU West Tennis Courts.
