DEKALB, Ill. - The Northern Illinois University Intercollegiate Baseball Team will conduct its annual open try-out on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 beginning sharply at 2:15 pm on Ralph McKinzie Field.

This will be the only try-out opportunity of the year. The rain date will be on Thursday, September 8, 2011 beginning at 2:15 pm. Tryouts are limited to current full-time NIU students.

Beginning Monday, August 22, 2011 all prospective attendees are required to pick up pre-registration materials from the baseball office at the Convocation Center #224. At the time that you pick up your packet, you will be required to fill out and turn in a completed baseball tryout information sheet.

All other forms, including an athletic physical (current within the 90 days of tryout), waiver, and Try-Out Clearance Form must be completed in order to be eligible to try-out. All completed registration forms must be turned in to the compliance office by 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 2 in order to be able to participate in the tryout.

Tryouts will not be allowed if the above procedures and timelines are not ahdered to.

Players must supply their own equipment and dress accordingly. NIU will supply helmets, catchers gear, bats and baseballs.
