DeKALB -- The NIU football team held its first meetings late last Friday afternoon, but in the morning, the Huskies held their annual media and photo day at Huskie Stadium and in the Hall of Champions.

NIUHuskies.com changed things up for media day, opting to mic up a football player for an all-access feature of the photo day through the players eyes. Not knowing what to expect from the feature, senior defensive end Jason Meehan (St. Louis, Missouri/Webster Groves) delivered many highlights in the two-plus hours of footage captured during the event.

While waiting for the event to begin, Meehan meandered through the football offices in the Yordon Center, as well as the training room, before heading to Brigham Field for ESPN headshots, individual photos and the team picture in the West grandstand.

Last season, Meehan totaled 31 tackles, seven for loss and 6.5 sacks for a loss of 31 yards while recovering one fumble and deflecting one pass in 14 games. The senior dominated in the Huskies matchup at UMass last season, recording six tackles versus the Minutemen at Gillette Stadium.

Season tickets for the 2014 season are still available and offer the best value for the best seats at Huskie Stadium at a cost of just $110 for all five 2014 home games. Season ticket holders receive a gift and invitations to exclusive season ticket holder events in addition to the same seat for every game. Members of the NIU Alumni Association, senior citizens and NIU faculty and staff receive a $15 discount on every season ticket.
