Jan. 26, 2015 DeKALB, Ill. - Each week, NIU honors two student-athletes that exemplify the concept of the "student-athlete" supremely well. These students excel both in the classroom and on the playing field. This week, the honorees are tennis players Simon Formont and Nelle Youel.

Week's Achievements: Simon Formont (Orleans, France/Lycee Camille Claudel) produced a perfect 6-0 weekend, winning all of his matches to help the NIU men’s tennis team win three matches against UW-Whitewater, UIC and IUPUI. Formont dropped just one set the entire weekend as he faced the opponent’s top singles player while giving the Huskies doubles depth in every match.	Week's Achievements: Nelle Youel started the spring women’s tennis season in impressive fashion, going 4-0 overall in her matches to help NIU defeat Lewis and Cleveland State. The four wins also moved the senior also into a tie for the NIU school record for combined career victories with 137, level with Anna Widen’s Huskie record that has stood since 2000. Youel can break the NIU women’s tennis career wins record when the Huskies face Bradley on Saturday.
