Week's Achievements: Drew Hare had one of the best quarterback performances in NIU history on Saturday in leading the Huskies to a 59-41 victory over Ball State to retain the Bronze Stalk Trophy. The junior quarterback completed 29-of-32 passes for a school record 90.2 completion percentage while throwing for a career high 363 yards – the 11th most in school history. Named the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week, Hare also threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another as the Huskies exploded offensively for 59 points and 636 total yards.

Week's Achievements: Anna Brereton helped the NIU volleyball team sweep Western Michigan and Miami last weekend with her stellar defensive efforts. The sophomore libero averaged an impressive 5.67 digs per set on 34 digs in six sets during the two contests, bringing up her season average to 4.03 digs per set. She even added three assists in the Miami match. Largely thanks to Brereton’s defensive play, the Huskies improved to 5-1 in the MAC this season with the dominant and important victories against the Broncos and RedHawks – two teams that currently are 4-2 in league play.
