CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The NIU baseball team will close the Governors Challenge today versus South Dakota State at noon Central. The Huskies were scheduled to play tournament host Austin Peay at 2:30 p.m., but will instead replay Friday's season opener.

The Huskies improved to 2-0 yesterday with a 15-5 victory over Niagara in which NIU racked up 10 hits and 12 walks in the frigid conditions. Brian Sisler (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) was 5-for-5 in the game with three doubles, three runs, six RBI and reached base once more on a hit by pitch in the seventh inning.

Northern Illinois University will return to action next weekend with a four-game series at Texas Tech, starting Friday at 2 p.m. Central.
