| Week's Achievements: Frederic Cadieux picked up a win in the No. 1 singles match that proved decisive and helped the NIU men’s tennis team earn its first road victory of the season, winning at Butler on Saturday, 4-3. Cadieux defeated Austin Woldmoe in the top singles matchup, rallying from a set down to take the match by winning the final two sets in dominant fashion, 2-6, 6-1, 6-0. The NIU senior has now won four of his last five matches overall. |
Week's Achievements: Amanda Stepp led the Huskies to another impressive victory over the weekend, winning the vault and beam events to help the NIU gymnastics team record its second consecutive plus-195.000 score and third straight win. With the help of Stepp’s meet-high scores of 9.850 score in the vault and 9.875 mark in the beam, as well as her 9.575 mark on the floor, the Huskies defeated Southeast Missouri, 195.400 to 193.300 to improve to 8-2 overall. |
