| Week's Achievements: Joo-Young Lee led the way for NIU's impressive fifth-place finish in a 20-team field at the FAU Slomin Autism Invitational last weekend at The Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth, Fla., shooting a career-best 70 (1-under) in the final round and finishing the tournament with a three-round total of 214 for a 1-over par score. The sophomore completed the tournament in a tie for fifth individually, tallying seven birdies and one eagle over the weekend.

Week's Achievements: Jessica Sturm played a major role in the Huskies' 3-0 record last week to close out March, picking up two wins on the mound against Akron as NIU opened MAC play with a doubleheader sweep and posting a 2.80 ERA in 10 innings pitched. In addition, Sturm also had two hits, stole two bases and accounted for four runs scored last week for NIU. Sturm had a dominating performance in Saturday's game versus the Zips, striking out six batters and allowing just one run in a 9-1 win over Akron in six innings. She returned to the circle in relief in game two, allowing just one hit and two unearned runs in a 9-8 victory over Akron to clinch the doubleheader sweep, while also scoring the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh after leading off the inning with a double.
