DEKALB, Ill. -- All week, Northern Illinois University Athletics has paid tribute to the late John Hughes, the legendary producer/director/screenwriter who filmed many of his pictures in the Chicagoland area, to promote this year's Huskie Summer Circuit stops in June.

A few of your favorite Huskie coaches put away their whistles to re-enact some memorable scenes from four different Hughes' films. Starting today and ending on Friday, a video of one scene a day will be released on NIUHuskies.com. The videos will also be posted on NIU Athletics' various social media platforms, NIU Huskies' Facebook page, YouTube channel and on our official Twitter, @NIUAthletics. Fans can guess the scene from which Hughes' classic the coaches are acting out as well as see a different side of some of the Huskie coaches, as well as Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Sean T. Frazier.

We've come to the end of the road on our journey through John Hughes' work. We hope you enjoyed the ride. While he didn't produce or direct the movie our final scene is taken from, his screenplay for this Harold Ramis' film helped make it an American classic.

NIU Head Men's Basketball Coach Mark Montgomery, Wrestling Head Coach Ryan Lugwig, Softball Head Coach Christina Sutcliffe and Tanya Gombera, NIU's first-year head women's tennis coach, braved some brutal conditions to turn in this gem. Head to the NIU Athletics Facebook page and tell us what Hughes' holiday classic the clip is from.

The Huskie Summer Circuit, which made its debut in 2014, returns to Franchesco's in Rockford (June 1),and Joe's Bar on Weed Street in Chicago (June 2) in 2015, with an added stop in Schaumburg (June 4) at Chandler's for the convenience of Huskie fans in the northern suburbs. The Huskies will be headed to a new location for their stop in Aurora. NIU coaches will be at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora on June 3.

At each event, fans will hear from Frazier and the head coaches from each of the Huskies' 17 sports programs, including football's Rod Carey, Mark Montgomery of men's basketball and volleyball coach Ray Gooden. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. each evening. Each stop on the Huskie Summer Circuit will have music, appetizers, a cash bar and a raffle for great prizes like tickets to NIU sporting events, Huskie apparel and more.
