Huskie Quick Hits
• NIU and Idaho will be meeting for the third consecutive season, with the Huskies holding a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series.
• Four Huskies scored in double figures, led by a career-high 17 points from Jaylen Key, as NIU took care of Roosevelt University, 99-55, on Monday night (Nov. 14). Key was a perfect 7-of-7 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line.
• Eugene German recorded his first career double figure scoring game against Roosevelt with 14 points, German was 5-of-7 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three-point range.
• Aaric Armstead is just two steals shy of the top-10 in NIU career history, Armstead has 106 career steals.  Armstead is also just 71 points shy of 1,000 in his career.
• The Huskies shot 60.6 percent (40-of-66) from the field Monday against Roosevelt, NIU's best single-game percentage during Mark Montgomery's tenure at NIU.
• The Huskies are 2-0 at home to begin the 2016-17 season. NIU is 35-6 at home since Feb. 12, 2014
• NIU brings back 66.9 percent of its minutes, 72.6 percent of its scoring, 81.1 percent of its rebounding, 47.4 percent of its assists, 85.6 percent of its blocked shots and 62.8 percent of its steals from the 2015-16 season.
• NIU has signed to players to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period, Owen Hamilton (Prescott, Wis.) and Tommy Demogerontas (Orland Park, Ill.)

About Idaho
• The Vandals come to DeKalb with a 1-0 record, having beaten Corban University, 90-67, to open the season on Saturday night (Nov. 12). Four players scored in double figures for Idaho in the contest, led by 19 points from Victor Sanders.
• Idaho is coming off a 21-13 campaign in 2015-16, the Vandals appeared in the postseason last year, playing in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI).
• Idaho was picked to finish second in the Big Sky by the coaches in the preseason poll and third by the media, Sanders was named to the Preseason All-Big Sky Team.
• Don Verlin is beginning his ninth season as head coach at Idaho. Prior to joining the Vandals, Verlin was an assistant coach for Stew Morrill at Utah State for 15 seasons.  

All-time Series with the Vandals
• NIU and Idaho will be meeting for the third consecutive season, with the Huskies holding a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series.
• In the first meeting on Nov. 20, 2014 in DeKalb, four Huskies scored in double figures, led by 16 points from Aaric Armstead as the Huskies earned a 78-67 victory. Sekou Wiggs scored 18 points to pace the Vandals.
• NIU shot 51 percent (26-of-51) from the field in that first meeting, including 41.2 percent (8-of-19) from three as it built a 12-point halftime lead and maintained that advantage through the second half.
• Last season in Moscow (Nov. 28, 2016), NIU earned a 66-59 road victory behind double-doubles from Aaric Armstead (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Marin Maric (14 points, 11 rebounds). Victor Sanders scored 17 points to lead the way for Idaho.

Roosevelt Recap
• Four Huskies scored in double figures, led by a career-high 17 points from Jaylen Key, as NIU took care of Roosevelt University, 99-55, on Monday night (Nov. 14). Key was a perfect 7-of-7 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line.
• Eugene German recorded his first career double figure scoring game with 14 points, German was 5-of-7 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three-point range.
• The Huskies shot 60.6 percent (40-of-66) from the field, NIU's best single-game percentage during Mark Montgomery's tenure at NIU, and shot 40.7 percent (11-of-27) from behind the three-point line.
• Five different Huskies recorded at least three assists, led by four from Laytwan Porter and Marshawn Wilson.
