Huskies Sign Victor Spolidorio

DEKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University men's tennis head coach Patrick Fisher announced the signing of Victor Spolidorio to a National Letter of Intent to join the Huskie tennis program for the 2017-18 season.

Spolidorio, who was born in Brazil, is ranked third in the State of Illinois by TennisRecruiting.com and reached the quarterfinals of the IHSA state tournament in 2016.

"I can't tell you how excited we are to have Victor join our team next year," said Fisher. "Victor has the two most important things we look for when recruiting players, he is a great player and has outstanding character, these attributes lead to championships and that is what our program strives for, championships on the court and in the classroom."

In his first three seasons at Dunlap High School in Peoria, Spolidorio has recorded a singles record of 110-12, setting the school wins record before beginning his senior season this coming spring, all while playing number one singles. Spolidorio is a two-time Peoria Journal Star Boys Tennis Player of the Year while leading the Eagles to a pair of conference and sectional championships.
