NIU Women's Basketball Starts Three-Game Road Trip at Drake

The Huskies trail in the Bulldogs in the series, 4-1, winning last year in the Convo

FREE THROWS
• The NIU women's basketball team leads the nation in scoring offense, averaging 97.0 points per game. The Huskies have reached 100-point plateau twice this season, including last time out versus Illinois State (108).
• Northern Illinois University is the only team in the country with two players averaging over 20.0 points per game as Ally Lehman (20.8) and Courtney Woods (20.6) continue their impressive starts to the season.
• Senior Ally Lehman registered the third triple-double in program history on Saturday night against the Redbirds, recording 15 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists in 28 minutes of floor time.
• Her triple-double was the fifth in the NCAA this season and the first East of the Mississippi River this season. Three of this year's six triple-doubles have come from Pac-12 teams.
• Lehman nearly averaged a triple-double last week versus Chicago State and ISU, tallying 17.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists with a .650 field goal percentage last week. She also posted a 20/1 assist to turnover ratio.
• She was named the MAC West Player of the Week, her second honor in as many weeks.
• Woods has scored 20 points or more seven times in her last 11 games, including four times this season. Five those 20-point performances have occurred on the road.
• Six different Huskies are averaging 10-or-more points per game this season. Only two of those players - Cassidy Glenn and Courtney Woods - have scored in double figures in each of the Huskies first five games.
• NIU dished 23 assists against the Redbirds, its best performance since registering 21 versus Buffalo on Jan. 30, 2016.
• Prior to its 108-66 victory over ISU on Saturday night, Northern Illinois University last scored 100 points in regulation March 2, 1996 versus Milwaukee.
• NIU shot a combined 26-for-35 (.743) from the field in the second and third quarter against Illinois State, converting 13 field goals in each period. The Huskies nearly shot 52-percent from the field in the game.
• The Huskies 87-73 victory over Drake last year was their first ever versus the Bulldogs. NIU trailed by 15 points with 8:06 left in the second quarter before tying the game with 22 seconds left in the period after a 21-6 scoring run.
• Last week, NIU totaled 164 shots from the field, including 62 behind the three-point line. The Huskies shot .463 from the field and posted a .451 clip behind the arc.

• NIU will return to the road this weekend when it heads to Peoria for a day trip at Bradley. Tipoff with the Braves is set for 7 p.m.
