DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University Huskies play host to in-state rival Western Illinois this Saturday, Sept. 24, at Huskie Stadium. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. (CT) and the game can be seen on ESPN3 and through the WatchESPN app.
 
All the information you need for game day, including promotional ticket offers and the complete schedule for "The Yard", the free pregame tailgate area on the west side of Huskie Stadium, can be found below.  Also get links to Huskie Stadium seating and parking maps, a listing of special events and attractions before and during the game.

Game Promotions: Family Weekend, Band Day, Scout Day, Extra Yard for Teachers Week
Ticket Promotion: $15 Tickets for Area Teachers; Bring your football ticket stub for $2 admission to Saturday's night's volleyball match between NIU and Bowling Green.  The action starts at 7 p.m. in Victor E. Court in the NIU Convocation Center.
 
Student Promotions
  • GET THE GIVEAWAY!  On your way into the stadium, pick up your FREE Red Bandana, courtesy of Saturday's game sponsor, First National Bank.  Available while supplies last on the East and West entrances.

  • Student Tailgating on the East Side – get a group of friends and put together your own pre-game party before coming into the stadium to cheer on the Huskies!  Purchase a student tailgate parking pass for the season for $25 and guarantee your spot for every home game. Student tailgate passes can be purchased at the Convocation Center Ticket Office Monday through Friday between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with a valid OneCard.
  • Note:  There will not be a student gameday shuttle this week but the service is expected to return in October!
Before the Game
  • Tailgate Lots Open at 9:30 a.m. Get directions and parking information HERE. 
  • Visit The Yard beginning at 11:30 a.m. for food, music, Huskie gear and more (below).
  • Football season ticket members can pick up their exclusive 2016 gift at the promotions table located adjacent to the Kids' Zone in The Yard prior to Saturday's game, or at the October 15 or October 22 game.  Fly the Huskie car flag on game day and/or any other day to show your Huskie Pride! 
  • Pick up your copy of Huskie Illustrated, the official game program, with rosters, statistics, feature stories and more.

Pregame (In the Stadium)
  • Fireworks during the National Anthem
  • Pup Club members form the team entry tunnel.
  • The honorary captain for Saturday is 13-year-old Josiah Brungart who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  NIU coaches will wear insignias as part of the "Coach to Cure MD" campaign from the American Football Coaches Association.
During the Game
