ESTERO, Fla. – The Northern Illinois University men's basketball team will play its third game in three days when the Huskies face Manhattan on Wednesday morning in its final game at the Gulf Coast Showcase. Tip-off between the Huskies and Jaspers is scheduled for 10 a.m. CT at Germain Arena. 

NIU dropped a 77-67 decision to Florida Atlantic on Tuesday afternoon. The Huskies and Owls were tied with just under six minutes to play but Florida Atlantic finished the game on a 17-7 run to earn the victory. Florida Atlantic shot 56.3 percent (18-of-32) from the field in the second half to overcome a three-point NIU halftime lead. Sophomore Eugene German (Gary, Ind./21st Century Charter) scored a team-high 21 points while junior Levi Bradley (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI) added 13 points. 

The Jaspers of Manhattan are 2-2 this season with victories over St. Francis (N.Y.) and Harvard at home before falling to UMKC, 74-63, on Monday in their Gulf Coast Showcase opener and Missouri State, 69-65, on Tuesday in the Gulf Coast Showcase. Rich Williams is averaging a team-high 16.5 points per game for Manhattan. Zavier Turner (12.0 ppg) and Calvin Crawford (10.8 ppg) are also scoring in double figures.

Following Wednesday's contest, NIU will return home when the Huskies host Rockford University on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 3:30 p.m., at the NIU Convocation Center.
