MILWAUKEE – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team fell to Marquette, 6-1, at Helfaer Stadium Sunday.
 
The Huskies' (6-4) Michelle Erasmus (Johannesburg, South Africa/Brescia) scored the lone victory for NIU on the day. The Huskie junior posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Marquette's Lesley Foe at No. 6 singles.
 
Raven Neely (Grosse Point, Mich./Grosse Point South) and Meghan Montgomerie (Irvine, Scotland/Beaconhurst) battled at No. 1 and No. 4 singles respectively. Both Neely and Montgomerie won their first sets, however, their Golden Eagles opponents won the next two sets to win the match.
 
The NIU women's tennis team returns to action Friday when the Huskies play host to UIC at the Boylan Tennis Center. The match begins at 12 p.m.
