DEKALB – The NIU baseball team will host their annual golf outing this fall on Friday Oct. 6 at the St. Andrews Golf Course in West Chicago. The cost to attend is $125 per player or $500 per foursome and the cost will include the 18-hole round with a car, practice range, entry gift, long drive and closest to the pin contest as well as many other prizes.
 
The event, which is the day before NIU football's homecoming game against Kent State, will begin at 7:45 a.m. with registration followed by the range opening at 8:00 and the shotgun start at 8:30. There will be a lunch banquet after the round that will begin at 12:30 p.m.
 
There is also the ability to support NIU baseball by sponsoring a hole, which includes the displaying of your name, company or message at a designated hole on the golf course for the cost of $200.
 
This event is one of two fundraisers the NIU Baseball program will hold this year to help raise funds to enhance the student athlete experience. Past enhancements have been new uniforms as well as supplementing cost incurred during travel to Arizona for opening weekend in 2016 and 2017.
