NIU Baseball Releases 2019 Schedule

Huskies Will Have 22 Home Dates This Season With Home Opener March 15

DEKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University Head Baseball Coach Mike Kunigonis announced on Friday the Huskies' 2019 schedule. The Huskies will play 22 games at Ralph McKenzie Field this upcoming spring, beginning with a three-game series against Valparaiso March 15-17.

"We're excited for the 2019 season coming up," said Kunigonis, who is entering his fifth year as head coach. "Our non-conference slate is a difficult one, but ultimately one we believe this group can handle and compete with. We set it up this year to prepare us for a difficult conference slate. Playing 22 home games this year is a welcome site to see. We have really worked the past few years on trying to improve the amount of home games we play."
