DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's basketball team will continue its three-game homestand on Tuesday night, Feb. 13, when the Huskies host Central Michigan at the NIU Convocation Center. Game time against the Chippewas is scheduled for 7 p.m., and will also be available on ESPN3.

NIU (11-14, 4-8 MAC) is coming off an impressive 90-88 overtime victory over first-place Buffalo on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 10). Sophomore
Eugene German scored a game-high 28 points, including the game-winner with four seconds left in overtime, and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Earlier on Monday, German was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week.
Junior
Levi Bradley (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI) added 22 against the Bulls while sophomore
Justin Thomas (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) scored a career-best 17 points while also tying a season-high with five rebounds in a career-high 42 minutes.
Thomas has scored in double figures eight times this season and is shooting a team-best 42.6 percent from behind the three-point line.
The Chippewas bring a 15-10 overall record, 4-8 in MAC play, to DeKalb after falling at Akron on Saturday, 69-63. Four players score in double figures for Central Michigan, led by 15.1 points per game from Shawn Roundtree. Cecil Williams adds 15.0 points per contest, David DiLeo is averaging 12.3 points, and a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game, while Kevin McKay chips in 10.0 points per contest.
Central Michigan leads the MAC in free throw percentage, shooting 79.6 percent as a team. The Chippewas have attempted a league-high 721 three-point field goals, connecting at 33.6 percent.
CMU won the first meeting of the season, 81-67, on Jan. 30 in Mount Pleasant. The Chippewas made 17 three-pointers, led by eight by Josh Kozinski who finished with 24 points.
Following Tuesday's contest, the Huskies will conclude their current three-game home stretch on Saturday, Feb. 17, when they host Western Michigan at 3:30 p.m., in the second half of a doubleheader with the NIU women's basketball team tipping off at 1 p.m.
