DEKALB, Ill. – Game times for Northern Illinois University football's five home games, including the 2018 home opener versus Utah, the first Pac-12 team to visit Huskie Stadium, have been announced as part of the Mid-American Conference's release of game times and television broadcast networks Thursday.
NIU opens the 2018 season on the road when the Huskies travel to Iowa City, Iowa for a Labor Day Weekend match up with the Hawkeyes Sept. 1. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. (all kick times listed are Central) and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. The Huskies open up their exciting home schedule under the lights a week later when the Utah Utes come to DeKalb Sept. 8 for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff with NIU and will be televised by ESPNews.
League play comes early this year for the Huskies as NIU plays host to Central Michigan at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, and their road contest at Eastern Michigan on Sept. 29 will kickoff at 5 p.m. Both games will be shown on ESPN's new platform, ESPN+. NIU's 112th Homecoming Game versus Ohio on Saturday, Oct. 13 will also kickoff at 2:30 p.m. and will be shown on one of the ESPN Networks.
MACtion begins in earnest Thursday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. when NIU travels to Akron. Either ESPNU or CBS Sports Network will televise the game. The Huskies close out their home slate with a two game homestand. NIU will face Toledo, Wednesday, Nov. 7 and Miami Wednesday, Nov. 14. Both games will kickoff at either 6 or 7 p.m. and will be shown on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. The Huskies close out the regular season on the road on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Western Michigan at 6 p.m. and the game will be shown on either ESPNU or ESPN+.
The Marathon MAC Championship Game returns to its Friday night slot as the MAC West and East Division champions will face off on Friday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. CT.
Kickoff and broadcast information for the Huskies' road games at Florida State (Sept. 22) and BYU (Oct. 27) will be announced at a later date, while the contest at Ball State (Oct. 6) will be announced 12 days prior to that game. Broadcast information for the 112th Homecoming Game will be determined 12 days out as well.

Season ticket packages start as low as $55 in 2018 with the Huskie Stadium Family Pack (four tickets for $220), while a general admission ticket on the East Side is only $60.
Huskie Stadium has a variety of seating options from general public to reserved bench backs or chair backs, as well as Sky Club and Sky Box availability, for just $125 for all five games. A Huskie Athletic Fund donation is required for the premium options. Football season ticket members have exclusive access to purchase tickets from NIU for the non-conference road games at Florida State and BYU, while Iowa game tickets are available to season ticket members who are also Huskie Athletic Fund donors.
