DeKALB, Ill. – Due to potentially record-cold invading the region this week, and the resulting closure of Northern Illinois University beginning Tuesday night (Jan. 29) at 10 p.m. through Wednesday, January 30, NIU Athletics has made changes to its home basketball schedule this week.
 
On Tuesday, the NIU men's team's game versus Ohio at the NIU Convocation Center will tip off at 5 p.m. (CT), two hours earlier than its previously scheduled start.  In the Huskies' last home outing, a great crowd led by Huskie students helped spur NIU to an upset win over No. 14 Buffalo.  
 
The NIU women's basketball game versus Western Michigan this week has been moved to Thursday, January 31 at 6 p.m. The game had been scheduled for Wednesday (January 30).  A lucky fan will take part in "Game Show Thursday" with this week's game show "The Price is Right."
