Mitchell Brinkman was the first touchdown pass thrown by a non-quarterback since Tommylee Lewis to Jordan Lynch on Oct. 26, 2013 versus Eastern Michigan.
 
***NIU recorded its fifth blocked kick of the season when 
Jordan Cole blocked a Western Michigan field goal in the first quarter.  Cole's block was the first of his career.
 
***NIU has three blocked field goals, one blocked PAT and one blocked punt on the season.

Marcus Childers' 71-yard flip pass to 
Tyrice Richie went for his longest completion of the season, and the second-longest of his career, behind only his career-long 73-yard TD pass to

***The Richie touchdown play was also the longest of his Huskie career and the second-longest pass play of the season behind only a 74-yard pass from 
Ross Bowers to 
Spencer Tears versus Utah.
 
***The Huskies shut out a team in a half for the first time since the Akron game (10-26).
 
***Tuesday night's game marked the final game in the careers of 18 NIU seniors who were honored prior to the game.
