CHICAGO – The Northern Illinois University women's team suffered a 6-1 setback at Chicago State Saturday.
The Huskies (2-5), which lost the doubles point to open the day, were unable to win the majority of the singles matches to take the day. Maria Potsi (Athens, Greece/1st Gel Cholargou) provided the lone bright spot on the day, posting a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 victory over Anastasiia Goncharova at No. 1 singles.
The Huskies return to action Friday when NIU plays host to DePaul. The match begins at 12 p.m. CT.
