DeKalb, Ill. – Northern Illinois University Athletics, Huskie Sports Properties and longtime partner Fatty's Pub & Grille are bringing a new atmosphere to the South End Zone of Huskie Stadium before and during NIU home football games this year with the introduction of Fatty's Touchdown Village. 
 
All NIU students and East Side general admission ticket holders are invited to head into the stadium when gates open, 90 minutes before kickoff for every game, to enjoy the perfect pregame tailgating atmosphere in this free, field-level area. There is no charge to enter Fatty's Touchdown Village, which will remain open throughout the game, and provides easy access to restrooms, concession stands and seating in the East grandstand.
 
Inside Fatty's Touchdown Village, enjoy reduced pricing on beer starting at just $2 per can, with water and soda available for $1.50 and slices of Rosati's pizza for only $3. Beer, available only with proper ID through the third quarter, must be consumed in the area. There is limited seating and access to televisions to watch replays during the game, or to catch other games before kickoff.  A D.J. will provide music and fans also can enjoy a game of bags with fellow students and Huskie fans.  
 
Students can enter Fatty's Touchdown Village at the rolling gate at the southeast corner of Huskie Stadium (next to the ticket booth on the East Side), using either their OneCard or by downloading their new mobile ticket available for free at NIUStudentTix.com. This mobile ticketing site also allows students to purchase guest tickets, avoiding the line on game day or the trip to the Convocation Center. Simply log in and download your free tickets.
 
The Huskies kick off the 2019 season on Saturday, August 31^st at 6 p.m. versus intrastate foe Illinois State. Don't miss the opening of the Thomas Hammock era and be one of the first 1,000 fans in the stadium to get your replica jersey in honor of the Huskies' new head coach, a Huskie alum and two-time Academic All-American during his playing days.  
 
Season Tickets start at as little as $60 for an East Side (general admission) season ticket. Purchase four tickets for family or a group of friends on either the East or West Side for as little as $55 or $75 per person with the Huskie Family Pack. 
 
Three-game Mini-Plans, including two Saturday and one #MACtion (weeknight) game are just $70, while the Huskie Flex Pass offers the chance to purchase a minimum of five tickets to any game or combination of games for $15 each.
