DeKALB, Ill. -- Northern Illinois University head football coach Thomas Hammock previewed NIU's 2019 season opener against Illinois State (Aug. 31; 6 p.m.) at the Jeffrey and Kimberly Yordon Center Wednesday. Joining Hammock were tailback Tre Harbison, defensive tackle Jack Heflin, linebacker Kyle Pugh and wide receiver Cole Tucker.
