DeKALB, IL – The Northern Illinois University women's basketball team will open its 2020-21 season against the IUPUI Jaguars on Wednesday, November 25 at the NIU Convocation Center. Tip-off is at 1 p.m.
 
The Huskies were originally slated to open the season against Illinois State. Last Friday Illinois State announced it was pausing women's basketball team activities due to COVID-19 protocols.
 
This will be the sixth meeting between the Huskies and Jaguars and first since 2009. Wednesday's game will be available over the air on WLBK 98.9 FM and 1360 AM, as well as on the NIU Huskies mobile app. It can also be heard on the TuneIn app.
 
Fan attendance is prohibited at non-conference basketball games but Huskie fans can make their presence felt by purchasing a cutout as part of the "Huskie Howl" presented by First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO).
 
Fans can put their image on a cutout for just $60 that will remain in the NIU Convocation Center for all NIU men's and women's basketball games during the 2020-21 season. Net proceeds from the sales of fan cutouts benefit the Huskie Athletic Fund. Click here to order your cutout.
