DeKALB, Ill. – Caroline Kent, an accomplished junior golfer from Frisco, Texas, has signed with the Northern Illinois University women's golf program for 2021-22, NIU women's golf head coach Kim Kester announced Wednesday.
 
"We are excited to announce the signing of Caroline Kent to the Huskie golf program for next fall," Kester said. "She brings a lot of tournament experience and success as a junior golfer to NIU and is an excellent student. These characteristics are going to help NIU women's golf move forward."
 
Kent won the 2018 Midwest Junior Championship and was the runner-up at the same tournament in 2019. She was a four-time winner on the All-American Tour and won five tournaments on the Texas Junior Golf Tour, when she was named to the 2017-18 TJGT All-Tour Team. The tournament veteran won five of the six HSAA high school events she entered and was also a winner on the Legends Junior Tour during her prep career.  
 
An honor roll student throughout her four-year career at iUniversity Prep, Kent was named a 2020-21 AJGA Scholastic Junior All-American.  
 
The NIU women's golf team returns to competition in February 2021.
