DeKALB, IL – The Northern Illinois University women's basketball team takes to the NIU Convocation Center floor one last time in the 2020-21 season Wednesday night, March 3, when the Huskies take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Game time is set for 6 p.m. with the game being broadcast on ESPN+.
 
Sophomore guard Chelby Koker (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) led all scorers in the Huskies' last game at Western Michigan last Saturday with 25 points, adding five rebounds and three assists. It was her 11^th 20-point effort of the season. Koker was 7-for-8 at the free throw line against the Broncos to stay atop the Mid-American Conference leaders in free throw percentage at 91.2 percent. She is seventh in the nation in free throw percentage and among the top-25 scorers in the country at 20.7 points per game.
 
The Huskies continue to lead the conference in three-point field goal percentage at 38.4 percent. NIU (11-10, 9-7 MAC) is 13^th in the nation in both three-point field goal percentage and in three-pointers per game at 9.1. Janae Poisson (Matteson, Ill./Marian Catholic) leads the MAC in three-point percentage at 46.6 percent. In the month of February Poisson averaged 11.4 points per game while shooting 45.9 percent from long range.
 
Eastern Michigan (10-7, 7-5 MAC) comes to DeKalb after having its game against Central Michigan last Saturday canceled. The Eagles last played on Feb. 24 in a 66-56 loss to Western Michigan. Areanna Combs led Eastern Michigan with 12 points in the game as Jenna Annecchiarico and Ce'Nara Skanes each scored eight points. Skanes is second in the MAC in rebounding, averaging 11.0 rebounds per game. The Eagles lead the MAC in scoring defense, allowing 61.6 points per game.
 
NIU is 6-4 against Eastern Michigan in the last 10 meetings between the Huskies and Eagles.
 
Following Wednesday's game, the Huskies close the regular season at Central Michigan on Saturday, March 6. Tip-off is at 12 p.m.
