DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team posted a 7-0 victory over local foe Roosevelt University at Chick Evans Field House on Thursday afternoon.
 
In the only match for NIU (11-9, 3-3) this week, Diana Lukyanova earned her 17th consecutive victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Christy Robinson and Iullia Dmitrieva posted wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Robinson won, 6-3, 6-1, while Dmitrieva earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
 
Josefina Trella earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Kyla Eaton at No. 4 singles, and Gabriella Kaminski scored a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 5 singles. The Lakers did not field a competitor at No. 6 singles, giving the Huskies their sixth singles win.
 
The Huskies return to the court Tuesday, April 6 when NIU travels to Peoria, Ill for a midweek match with Bradley. The match begins at 6 p.m.
