DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to Bowling Green at the Bowling Green High School tennis courts on Friday.
 
Diana Lukyanova, who stepped up to play No. 2 singles, provided NIU's (13-13, 5-6) lone bright spot on the day. The Huskie freshman earned a straight set, 6-2, 6-3, victory over Ioanna Tsadari.
 
The NIU women's tennis team is back in action Saturday the Huskies face Buffalo in Toledo, Ohio. The match will start at 12 p.m. CT.
