DeKALB, Ill. – The kickoff time for Northern Illinois University's October 2nd game versus Eastern Michigan has been pushed back to 1:30 p.m. (CT)/2:30 p.m. (ET), NIU and MAC officials announced Monday. The game, originally scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. (CT), will air on ESPN+.
NIU will play its 114th Homecoming game on that date and the university has events planned throughout the week to celebrate. See the complete list
here including a new Homecoming Brunch on Saturday morning hosted by the NIU Foundation and NIU Alumni Association outside of Altgeld Hall.
With the game now kicking off at 1:30 p.m., The Yard, NIU's pregame gathering spot on the West Lawn of Huskie Stadium, will open at 10:30 a.m. and feature a live band, as well as a pregame pep rally by the Huskie Marching Band and Silverettes, games for the kids and food and drink for sale. Parking and tailgating in the lots surrounding Huskie Stadium and the Convocation Center, will open at 8:30 a.m.
Tickets for the game are $28 (east side general admission) and $33 (west side reserved) when purchased in advance or $30 and $35, respectively, on game day. Parking in the NIU Convocation Center lots is included with your ticket purchase. Click
