DeKALB, Illinois – When the Northern Illinois University football team closes out the 2022 season on Saturday, November 26 versus Akron, fans can take advantage of discount ticket offers, $5 alcoholic beverages and a black NIU Football jersey giveaway, courtesy of Old National Bank, while honoring members of the 2022 senior class.
 
Prior to the game, which kicks off at 12:30 p.m. (CT) on Thanksgiving Saturday, the Huskies will honor the members of its 2022 senior class.
 
The new "Black Friday" football ticket sale offers a reserved ticket on the West Side of Huskie Stadium for just $15, a 35 percent discount off the regular price. The Black Friday deal must be purchased online in advance. CLICK HERE to take advantage of this sale.
 
Fans can also still receive HALF PRICE tickets to the NIU-Akron game, the final game this year when the promotion will be active, by donating non-perishable food items (minimum of one per ticket) in the marked boxes next to the ticket office windows at Huskie Stadium on game day, or in advance at the NIU Convocation Center during regular business hours. The Food Drive is supported by Northwestern Medicine.
 
The first 1,000 fans in the stands for Saturday's season finale will receive a black replica Old National Bank NIU Football jersey. During the game, fans aged 21 and over can purchase alcoholic beverages, including beer and seltzer, from the concession stands for the special price of just $5 per can with Busch Light for $3.  
 
The Akron game is also the second "Pup Club Game" of the season where members of the Pup Club receive free admission.  There is still time to register children (ages 13 and under) for the Pup Club, supported by Northwestern Medicine, to receive free admission to the Akron game AND to all men's and women's basketball games throughout the 2022-23 season. Saturday's game marks the final game in a Huskie uniform for 10 NIU seniors, including linebacker Kyle Pugh, who wraps up a career that has spanned a Football Bowl Subdivision record eight seasons. Senior Day celebrations begins early so get into your seats in Huskie Stadium.
