DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's basketball team will host Ohio on Friday night, March 4, as the Huskies honor their senior class on Senior Night. Game time against the Bobcats is scheduled for 7 p.m., with Senior Night festivities scheduled to begin approximately 20 minutes before game time.

Chinedu Kingsley Okanu (Lynwood, Ill./Vincennes University) scored a career-best 14 points, going 5-of-6 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. Okanu has averaged 9.0 points per game over the last seven contests, shooting 66.7 percent (26-of-39) from the field during that stretch.
Trendon Hankerson (Novi, Mich./Novi) had three steals against the Golden Flashes, taking him to 117 in his career, which is tied for the 10th-most in program history with Rodney Davis (1984-88). Hankerson is averaging 1.9 steals per game this season, second-best in the Mid-American Conference and 63rd nationally.
Keshawn Williams (Chicago Heights, Ill./Bloom), who ranks seventh in the MAC in scoring in league games at 17.8 points per game, netted a team-high 16 points against Kent State. Williams has scored in double figures in 17 consecutive games.
The Bobcats come to DeKalb with a 23-7 overall record, including a 14-5 mark in conference play. Ohio is coming off an 80-77 setback on Tuesday (March 1) at Bowling Green and are currently third in the MAC standings. Three players score in double figures for Ohio, led by 19.4 points per game from Mark Sears. Ben Vander Plas adds 14.1 points per contest and Jason Carter is averaging 13.7 points per game.
Ohio ranks 14th in the country, and best in the MAC, in turnover margin at +4.2. The Bobcats also lead the conference, and rank 28th nationally, with 9.3 three-point field goals per contest.
