CLEVELAND, Ohio—The Northern Illinois University women's volleyball team had seven student-athletes named to the Academic All-MAC team.
The Huskies seven honorees mark the third consecutive year with seven representatives on the Academic All-MAC team.
Ella Mihacevich (Brunswick, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) marks her third time receiving Academic All-MAC honors, having earned the honor in 2021 and 2022 previously.
Charli Atiemo (Milford, Mich./Farmington Hills Mercy),
Sophie Hurt (Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep), and
Jada Cerniglia (Cross Plains, Wis./Middelton) earn their second academic honor from the MAC.
The Huskies have seen seven honorees on the Academic All-MAC list four times in the last nine years (2014, 2021, 2022, 2023).
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that sport.
