Women's Volleyball | November 7
DeKALB, Ill.—Wrapping up the home portion of their schedule, the Northern Illinois University Huskies volleyball team will host the Falcons of Bowling Green State University on November 8 and 9 inside Victor E. Court.
The Huskies (3-21, 1-13 MAC) and the Falcons (17-8, 12-2 MAC) will have first serve on November 8 at 6 p.m. for Fan Appreciation night. The Huskies will conclude the home portion of the season, with first serve set for 4 p.m. on November 9 against the Falcons.

Bowling Green Preview
The Falcons are currently on a seven-game winning streak and are led by Lauren Hovey at the net with 3.20 kills and 294 kills this season. Joining Hovey at the net, Mia Tyler is averaging 2.81 kills per set for 256 this season.
At the service line, Hovey leads the team with 44 service aces and an average of .48 per set.
Defensively, Lindsey LaPinta leads the team with 3.67 digs per set. Jessica Andrews leads the team with 1.26 blocks per set and 116 blocks this season.
This weekend's series features NIU holding a 32-18 series lead over the Falcons. NIU and Bowling Green split the series last season, which featured nine sets. The Huskies won a five-set thriller on Sept. 22. The Huskies' last win in DeKalb came during the 2022 season.
Milestone Watch
Inching ever closer to a milestone,
Charli Atiemo (Milford, Mich./Farmington Hills Mercy) is 3 kills away from passing the 1,000-career kill mark. Atiemo recorded six kills in Tuesday's match against Western Michigan, moving her to 997 career kills.
If Atiemo surpasses the 1,000 mark this season, she would become the 23rd Huskie to reach that milestone.
Numbers Check
Ella Strausberger (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) is No. 10 in the league for assists per set, sitting at 6.08. Strausberger has recorded 529 assists this season.
Ava Grevengoed (Shorewood, Ill./Joliet West) is fifth in the MAC for aces per set at .34 and sixth for total aces with 31.
Crew Hoffmeier (Louisville, Ky./Assumption) leads the Huskies and the MAC with 4.86 digs per set. Hoffmeier is second in the conference standings with 442 total digs this season. Hoffmeier also lands herself in the top-25 in the nation for total digs this season.
Nazli Güvener (Ankara, Turkey/Elvankent Sinar), Atiemo, and Grevengoed lead the Huskies on the offensive side of the net. Güvener leads all Huskies with 2.89 kills per set, for a total of 228 kills this season. Grevengoed's 252 kills to lead the Huskies as she averages 2.80 per set. Atiemo rounds out the top-3 with 2.59 kills per set and 236 kills this season.
