DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's basketball team will be back home on Tuesday night, Dec. 3, as the Huskies host Benedictine. Tipoff against the Eagles is slated for 6 p.m. and will be available on ESPN+ and WDKB 94-9 FM in DeKalb.

After a busy November which included eight games, NIU begins December with just four contests on the schedule this month before the Huskies begin league play in January.
Quentin Jones (Chicago, Ill./Marian Catholic) leads NIU in scoring at 14.9 points per contest, eighth best in the Mid-American Conference. Over the last six games, Jones is averaging 16.2 points per game.
James Dent Jr. (Springfield, Ill./Springfield Southeast) is tied for 16th in the MAC in scoring at 13.1 points per game. Dent is also tied for 12th in rebounds at 6.0 boards per contest, 15th in assists at 2.8 per game and tied for 12th in three-point percentage at 41.7 percent.

Tsvet Sotirov (Rolling Meadows, Ill./Rolling Meadows) earned his first career start. Sotirov is averaging 9.0 points per game over the last three contests.
Benedictine has four players scoring in double figures, led by 17.8 points per game from Tanner Resch. Noah Mason is adding 12.2 points per contest, Brandon McCoy is scoring 11.0 points per game and Patrick Mayfield chips in 10.3 points per game.
The Eagles were picked to finish third in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) preseason poll.
NIU and Benedictine have met once previously, a 69-65 Huskie victory on Jan. 21, 1991.
Following Tuesday's game, NIU will next be in action on Saturday, Dec. 7, when the Huskies travel to Northern Iowa. Game time against the Panthers is slated for 5 p.m.
