DEKALB, Ill. – The 18-game Mid-American Conference schedule for the Northern Illinois University men's basketball team was released by the league office on Wednesday (Aug. 14). The Huskies will begin league play on Saturday, Jan. 4 on the road at Eastern Michigan. 

Following the road opener, NIU will play three of its next four conference games at home, starting with a visit from Kent State on Tuesday, Jan. 7. After traveling to Ohio (Jan. 11), the Huskies will host Miami on Tuesday, Jan. 14 and Central Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 18. 

A trip to Western Michigan on Tuesday, Jan. 21, will be followed by back-to-back home dates against Ball State on Saturday, Jan. 25 and defending conference tournament champion Akron on Tuesday, Jan. 28. 

The Huskies will open the month of February with a pair of road games in Northwest Ohio as they travel to meet defending regular season champion Toledo on Saturday, Feb. 1, before visiting Bowling Green three days later. 

NIU, along with the rest of the MAC, will step back out of conference play on Saturday, Feb. 8 for the second leg of this season's MAC/Sun Belt Challenge as the Huskies will host a Sun Belt foe, with the opponent announced in January. As previously announced in June, NIU will open the 2024-25 regular season with the first game of this season's MAC/Sun Belt Challenge on the road at Georgia Southern on Monday, Nov. 4. 

Conference play resumes for the Huskies on Tuesday, Feb. 11, as Buffalo travels to DeKalb. NIU will then hit the road to visit Ball State (Feb. 15) and Akron (Feb. 18) before returning home to host Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 22. 

The month of February concludes with a visit to Miami on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The Huskies then host Western Michigan on Saturday, March 1 and Bowling Green on Tuesday, March 4, before closing the regular season with a visit to Mount Pleasant to take on Central Michigan on Friday, March 7. 

Season tickets for Huskie basketball go on sale on Thursday, Aug. 15, at NIUHuskies.com and by calling the NIU Athletics Tickets Office at (815) 753-PACK (7225). Men's basketball season tickets start at just $105 for general admission tickets in sections 106-109 (lower bowl baseline) with reserved seats available for just $120.

Premium experience tickets are also available for Huskie Basketball, including courtside season tickets. Huskie men's basketball courtside tickets are $870, which includes the cost of a season ticket plus a $750 per seat license, Nelson Suite season tickets for NIU men's basketball are also available for $620. Season passes for the Huskie Athletic Fund Victory Pub are also available. Membership in the Victory Pub provides access to a premium buffet and one complimentary drink per game, as well as access to a premium cash bar. Season passes for the Victory Pub are $100 for men's or women's basketball, with a combo season pass for both men's and women's basketball available for just $150.
