DeKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University's next home football game versus the University of Massachusetts on Saturday, October 5 will kick off at 11 a.m. (CT)/Noon (ET) from Huskie Stadium. 
 
The game will air nationally on CBS Sports Network, marking NIU's 20th appearance on the network all-time, dating back to 2015.
 
NIU and UMass meet for the third time, with the previous meetings in 2012 and 2013, both NIU wins. UMass joins the Mid-American Conference in all sports next season.   
 
The Huskies will celebrate Employee Appreciation Day with ticket discounts available to all NIU employees. In addition, October 5 is Scout Day and Pup Club Day with all current members of the Pup Club receiving a ticket to the game and the opportunity to form the High 5 tunnel for the football team.  For more information on the Pup Club or to sign up (kids ages 13 and under), click here.
