DEKALB, IL – The Northern Illinois University women's basketball team looks to get back in the win column Wednesday night as the Huskies host the Miami RedHawks at the NIU Convocation Center. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.

link and bring a guest for free. Faculty and Staff will still need a game ticket for admission.
The game will be telecast on ESPN+ as well as 94-9 WDKB, the NIU Huskies app and TuneIn.
NIU (7-8, 1-3 MAC) led for over 25 minutes Saturday against Western Michigan but could not hold off a fourth quarter Broncos rally in a 61-57 loss.
Chelby Koker (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) led NIU with 14 points and five assists, adding four rebounds. Koker has had at least four assists in eight straight games. She is fourth in the MAC in assists at 4.9 per game and third in free throw percentage at 84.6 percent. In seven career games against Miami Koker is averaging 18.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
Freshman guard
Lexi Carlsen (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) had 11 points and a season-high nine rebounds against Western Michigan. She was 3-for-6 from the three-point arc. Carlsen leads the Mid-American Conference in three-point percentage at 41.9 percent. In conference play Carlsen is 12-for-26 from long range.
Miami (9-5, 2-2 MAC) is coming off a 75-60 win over Bowling Green on Saturday. Graduate guard Maya Chandler scored a career-high 25 points as Amber Tretter and Enjulina Gonzalez each added 17. The RedHawks shot 55.1 percent from the field and was 16-for-17 from the free throw line. Miami leads the MAC in scoring defense, allowing 56.2 points per game. The RedHawks are also first in the league with 11.9 steals per game and 22.7 turnovers forced per game. The Huskies won both meetings against Miami last season, snapping the RedHawks' three-game winning streak in the series.
The Huskies go on the road on Saturday, Jan. 18 to take on Bowling Green at 6 p.m. CT.
