STILLWATER, Okla. – The Northern Illinois University women's cross country team finished the 2025 season on Friday (Nov. 14) at the NCAA Midwest Regional on the Greiner Family Oklahoma State Cross Country Course.
Amelie Ojeda (Lombard, Ill./Willowbrook) finished inside the top-100 to lead the way for the Huskies.
Oklahoma State won the regional, led by Isca Chelangat who took the individual title in 19:48.4.
As she has all season, Ojeda paced the Huskies, clocking a time of 22:13.4 to finish 84th overall.
Claire Helmila (Greenville, Wis./Freedom) ran a time of 23:39.2 while
Ariel Hernandez (Rock Falls, Ill./Rock Falls) did not finish. NIU did not have enough runners compete to record a team score.
The Huskie distance group will now look ahead to the track and field season, which begins indoors at Notre Dame's Blue & Gold Invitational on Friday, Dec. 5.
