DEKALB, Ill. -- The Northern Illinois University men's basketball team finishes its three-game road trip on Tuesday, Nov. 25, when the Huskies travel to Clarksville, Tenn., to take on Austin Peay. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be available on ESPN+ along with WDKB 94-9 FM.

NIU (3-3) is coming off a convincing 76-59 victory over Loyola Chicago last Friday (Nov. 21). The Huskies made 14 triples in the win over the Ramblers, including six from Dylan Ducommun (Geneva, Switzerland) who finished with a game-high 24 points. Makhai Valentine (Munhall, Pa./Steel Valley) added three triples, scoring 17 points with nine rebounds in the victory. 

Taj Walters (Bronx, N.Y./Moravian Prep) also finished just shy of a double-double against the Ramblers as he had nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds. 

The Huskies also had 17 assists on 27 made field goals against Loyola, with Ducommun dishing out six and Gianni Cobb (Chicago, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) recording five assists.

For the season, NIU is shooting 41.6 percent three-point percentage, which ranks 16th in the country. Over the last four games, NIU is shooting 43.6 percent (44-of-101) from three, averaging 11.0 triples per game during that stretch.

The Governors bring a 3-3 mark into Tuesday's contest after falling at Tulsa, 84-75, last time out (Nov. 21). Three players score in double figures for Austin Peay, led by 13.8 points per game from Zyree Collins. Tate McCubbin adds 13.2 points per game and Collin Parker is scoring 12.8 points per contest. The Governors were picked to finish fifth in the Preseason Atlantic Sun Coaches Poll and seventh in the league's media poll.

This will be just the third all-time meeting between NIU and Austin Peay, and the first since 1996. The Governors won the first meeting, 68-65, in Clarksville on Nov. 27, 1995, and NIU won the return meeting in DeKalb, 67-64, on Dec. 18, 1996.

Following Tuesday's contest, the Huskies will return home as they host Bellarmine on Saturday, Nov. 29. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. and tickets are available at NIUHuskies.com/tickets.
