DeKALB, IL – The Mid-American Conference released its 2025-26 women's basketball schedule on Thursday morning. The Northern Illinois University Huskies will open it's final season of MAC play on Saturday, December 20 at Central Michigan and will host the defending MAC champions Ball State on Saturday, January 3 at the NIU Convocation Center.
 
Head Coach Jacey Brooks will take on her former team, the Buffalo Bulls, on January 7 in a stretch of three out of four games on the road. NIU will host Bowling Green on January 10 before going on the road to take on Toledo (Jan. 14) and Ohio (Jan. 17). The Huskies close January with three out of four games at the Convocation Center starting Jan. 21 against Western Michigan. After a trip to Eastern Michigan on Jan. 24, NIU will host Miami (Jan. 28) and Central Michigan (Jan. 31).
 
NIU opens February at Ball State on Feb. 4 before starting a three-game homestand on Feb. 7 with the second MAC-Sun Belt Challenge game. The Huskies welcome new MAC member UMass to the Convocation Center on Feb. 10 and wrap up the homestand against Akron on Feb. 14. NIU heads to Kent State on Feb. 18, followed by a game at Western Michigan on Feb. 21.
 
The Huskies' final two home games of the regular season come on Feb. 28 against Eastern Michigan and on March 4 against Buffalo. NIU wraps up the league year at Bowling Green on March 7.
