DeKALB, Ill. – The Mid-American Conference announced on Monday that the Northern Illinois University football team's game at Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 11 will have a 12 p.m. (CT) kickoff. It will be broadcast on ESPN+.
 
NIU leads the all-time series against Eastern Michigan 36-16-2. Last season was the first since 1997 that the two teams didn't meet on the gridiron. The Huskies have won three straight against the Eagles, last winning 20-13 at Huskie Stadium in 2023.
 
The Huskies host Miami on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Huskie Stadium at 2:30 p.m. It is NIU's 118th Homecoming this week, continuing the longest running alumni gathering in the state of Illinois. NIU opens it's Mid-American Conference schedule against the RedHawks for the Mallory Cup, which was created in 2018 to honor the late Bill Mallory who led both NIU and Miami to MAC titles during his coaching career.
