DeKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University football completed its 2026 non-conference schedule with the addition of Georgia State, the two schools announced today. The Huskies will travel to Atlanta to face Georgia State on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
The matchup between the Huskies and Panthers at Center Parc Credit Union Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
With the Mountain West Conference announcing home and away opponents last month, NIU has its 2026 opponents set. The Huskies will host Illinois State, Hawai'i, Nevada, UTEP and Wyoming this fall.
