DeKALB, Ill. – Theodora Kousiou of the Northern Illinois University women's tennis team has been named Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week, the league announced today.
Kousiou went 2-0 in singles at No. 2 through the weekend as the Huskies won their matches by a combined score of 12-2. Kousiou also went 2-0 in doubles.
It's the first time Kousiou has won MAC Singles Player of the Week. Last week,
Isabella Righi and
Lucia Yecora were named MAC Doubles Team of the Week.
NIU has two home matches this upcoming weekend, taking on Butler on Friday and Minnesota on Saturday.
