Huskies to Hold First Pitch Dinner on January 25

DeKALB, Ill.—The Northern Illinois University softball team will hold their inaugural First Pitch Dinner on January 25, starting at 3 p.m. at Fatty's Pub and Grille (1312 W Lincoln Hwy).
 
The keynote speaker for the afternoon will be Carol Hutchins, the winningest coach in NCAA Division I softball history. Hutchins led Michigan to the 2005 national Championship and accumulated over 1,700 career wins, 22 Big Ten titles, and 12 Women's College World Series appearances.
 
Enjoy an open buffet, cash bar, and the chance to mingle with NIU coaches and student-athletes. A silent auction will also be available for guests to participate in.

The Huskies begin the 2026 season in February on the road with home games slated to start in March. A full schedule will be released later.
